Uncaged is a 3D platformer in which you play as a lab rat trying to escape a research facility.
Playable on Itch!

In the game, the player controls Ratboy, and is tasked with platforming over tables, drones, and flasks all while defeating homunculus enemies.
The game was developed in under 3 months during a game design class that paired teams of artists with teams of coders.

My primary role of the team was to animate: I created animations for Ratboy, as seen above. I was mainly inspired by the Bangboos in Zenless Zone Zero, and I wanted to make the player character feel bouncy and gelatinous.

I also assisted with game design: I drew the original version of the first level, which has Ratboy travel around a single room in a lab.

I also gave the idea of giving Ratboy a “ground pound” attack, as common in other 3D platformers, because I wanted to give players a way to stop their momentum during precise sections.
