JoyArt is a yearly intercollegiate game art competition designed to connect students with industry professionals in the Boston game development scene.
For JoyArt 2025, I was part of the planning committee. I made posters and designs alongside setting up Eventbrite pages, touring event spaces, reviewing portfolios, and preparing trophies to be passed out as awards.
JoyArt 2025 was held at MIT, located in their Innovation Headquarters. In total, we had 113 students submitting their work to us, and the event had over 60 students in attendance.

For poster designs, I decided to stick with an “urban”-inspired look, complete with a graffiti-style logo and scribbles.
For Gompei the Goat (WPI’s mascot), I was inspired by shounen manga, so I drew Gompei as both cool and cute.
